    im going to pick up my new(used) 180 gallon tank on tuesday, how much u ask??? $50. thats right, chalk up another win for craigslist, ill post pics when i start filling it;D;D;D;D;D;D;D

    WOW:eek:, thats a steal. Make sure you fill it and wait for 3-5 days to see if it leaks. Sometimes cheaper is more expensive.

    Cheaper isnt always better like Luna mentioned. I'd be wondering why they sold it so cheap. A reptile 180g is made differently then a 180g aquarium. Not as much support and thinner glass.

    it has a small crack, but i can fix it no prob, my 120 had 3 huge sump holes in it, but not anymore, no leaks, i rule!!!!!

    If its cracked, I wouldnt touch it IMO. 180g, thats 1500+lbs of pressure on that glass, no amount of silicone will hold a crack with that much pressure.

    You also may have to look through a bunch of scratches if there was a very big reptile in there.

    im actually gonna just put a whole new side on it, ill just have it cut to slide over it and silicone the crap out of it. the guy has it split in half with a piece of plexi, one side fish and one side lizard, holds water for 3-4 yrs like that i guess. but really for $50 and a little prep....cant really beat it, i can always resell it as reptile tank for twice what i paid, so....
