when my dad comes to my house he always acts so interested in my tanks, he knows nothing about the reefing hobby aside from what i let him in on. yet i still found him one time attempting to frag one of my kenya trees.

I tried that write a letter/throw it away thing. It doesn't work like knowing someone read your thoughts does. ;D

oh well by the time i got to him he had hacked off a good sized piece, good thing it was healthy as could be it didnt even close all the way up all the way and already is growing.

but it was hilarious, he acted like a little boy that just got caught doing something he shouldnt be. haha.

i promised him when he sets up a tank ill give him the frag he took off. lol::)

he got ahold of my fragging kit, it just consisted of a little razor knife with a few different attachments along with some plugs and reef glue.

2000 miles from home in a hotel on business.... 3:00am..phone rings...wife on the other end... and I can hear the sucking sound of the HOB overflow on my 55 gallon in the back ground...long story short... it was an exercise in calm and cool...I walked her though the whole affair and stabilized everything.....when I got home she was asking how to avoid that in the future...and now I have my 90 gallon with built in overflow....everything worked out. LOL : ) I'm happy...She's happy....and we all know when wife is happy...well, you know....

earlier today i was reading through your thread about your 75 gallon with your wife, and now i see this. strange.

But anyways, was it her fault? 100% not, on the other hand, could she have noticed it and done something, even it was as much as to send you a txt or somthing, absolutly. i understand why you are frustrated, but K+ for venting here and not at her, as many of us know, the wife is the boss when it comes to keeping our tanks (i.e how much money we can / cant spend ect ect ect) so its best not to pick fights on this very sensitive subject :)
