The front door of the new site - the homepage - had been hard to open. That is, it loaded really slow on first visit. It really needed oil. So I just oiled it, cutting database queries by two thirds. We went from a 1.8 second load time, to a .14 second load time in my test. That will do. :)

Yeah...I was getting very impatient with that 1.8 seconds. I did notice it loaded faster on this visit though. Well done!

Better, but still an occasional gremlin that keeps us waiting for the handshake.
I will pull out the Ouija board this weekend.

This gremlin appears to be in our cloud network. I have disabled the cloud for now until I can get support on this issue.
The homepage loads as it should now.

There is still an initial big delay on the homepage load for me. Anyone else? I am going to get some second looks on this. It's bugging me.

I just cleared some cache that was stuffed with old site - much better on my end now. If that holds throughout the day I might get encouraged.

Still getting an occasional lag, here. The two biggest hangups are Googleapis.com and connect.facebook.net.
