    Hi Guys,

It has been a very busy couple of weeks for me and my tank. After I returned from vacation, I was relieved that my tank didn't crash. I ordered part of my CUC from reefcleaners.org and received them in good time. I was very happy to finally see something moving in my tank. My wife was amazed that I could enjoy watching snails and kept asking when we could have fish. My 18 month son kept pointing to the tank and saying "fish?". I kept saying "one day".

I have also hooked up an RO/DI unit in my garage and have been making good use of that to try and get my phosphates down a little. My wife gave my my lights for Father's Day/Birthday. I ordered the 48" AquaticLife T5HO's and am extremely happy with them. I also rigged up a ATO that I ordered from Aquahub. It was pretty straight forward and seems to be working so far.

After waiting a week for my CUC to get situated, I tested my water levels. Everything was 0, so I went to the LFS. I was planning on buying a couple of Ocellaris clowns but they didn't have any and wouldn't for about a week. They did have a few Clarkii's, so I bought two. My wife insisted that the small one be named Nemo and I named the big one Clark (no originality). They are still very shy and staying near my overflow area. They started eating my copepods almost immediately and have eaten frozen food today. I apologize for the bad pictures, but just had to share. Thanks for reading!!!

    Regards,
    Ivy

Congrats on the new livestock! Incidentally, did you quarantine them before adding them to the tank? I have run into tons of trouble for not quarantining my new fish, and now have to resort to pulling them all out of the tank for 8 weeks to get rid of ich. Since you are just starting, it might pay to quarantine from the start!

I actually don't have a quarantine tank set up yet. I haven't found a place to set it up but am probably going to do so. Thanks for the advice!!!
