After stopping off at a LFS, i realized some things that made me feel really dumb.

After 10 months of having my tank up and running i just realized that it is a biocube 14, not an 8. Also, 4 snails is not a CUC. LOL

    just thought i'd share.

We all makes mistakes and have much to learn in the hobby. Just use the mistakes to help you become a better reefer.

yeah i was kind of happy about that, its just the fact that i didnt realize for this long.

unfortunately, its not that much more, because a biocube 14 actually hold around 10-12 gallons of water, depending on the age of the model. so its not like i can add another fish.

Man after just 10 months, upgrading already ;D Well, as others have said, it's certainly not the worst newbie mistake by any means. And it made me laugh, so thanks for sharing:beer:

    congrats

the reverse would have been dissapointing

4 snails are a part of a CUC
    just not the full CUC

I disagree...CUC are GROSSLY over exaggerated most of the time...a properly run tank generally does fine with 10%-20% of what's recommended...now diverstity is another story...having many different types of animals as part of your CUC is beneficial IMO.

4 ceriths, i would rather have like 10. that would be it for CUC. i only have one type of algae: brown film algae. it only grows on my glass, otherwise, sand and rock are fine. maybe ill get one turbo. ceriths seem to take care of it the best though.
