I was cleaning out the powerhead today and when I was moving one of the pieces of rock I dropped it on one of the heads. It cut off a piece of the polyps but I was able to remove that polyp right away before it went floating around the tank. He kind of retracted a little bit and I couldn't see any damage other than the poyp that got severed. No cracks anywhere. It wasn't a big rock that I dropped. Will it be ok? Do I need to look out for any type of symptoms?

IMO I think it will be alright if it only lost a few polyps, other than that just be more careful when possible

Probably will be OK. Watch for the polyps staying retracted for more than a day or two and also Brown Jelly Disease. BJD is a bacterial infection that is very nasty and will kill most things it comes in contact with. If the polyps has it very carefully remove the coral from the tank without disturbing the BJD. Do a dip in Iodine. Be prepared to remove the affected polyp.

just make sure to keep water quality 100% and meet all his requirements and you should be good. frogspawn and torches IMO are the hardiest of the Euphyllia family.

+1.....keep a close eye on it and be looking out for BJD. As said earlier one of the more hardier euphyllias but still prone to tissue damage
