A big welcome from way up here in Canada. You certainly did hit the knowledge jackpot. A lot of experience here and just a nice bunch of people.

    Welcome

    Hi and welcome to 3reef.com

I'm new here and to the hardcore hobbie of reefs.

55-90Gal to start would be best

You need to plan ahead, my 75Gal system takes about a 10'x15' room,
with all the extra stuff and etc. So for 90Gal or more I'm sure you would fill up a good size basement at least 1/2 of it

Lighting is keen T5 and MH is whats the norm. "there's LED lighting ad here around the forums.

Next is filters, most use canister+wet-dry"sump/trickle"+skimmer.

If your still here we know you have some bucks!

Next i think would be working on sand"substrate"+base rock

Then the pumps. If you had the money go with the high output low watts ver.

LOL there's more too but i'll let you ask some ??

    Welcome,
    Mike
