    i am using internal filter >>> ceramic+fiber+carbon
    can it works beside skimmer or something wrong ???
    30 gallon fish only tank

    and asking ... leave it running or take it out which is better ?

    I'd suggest removing it. Mechanical filters require more maintenance with saltwater, and I think you will find an internal unit like that to be more PITA than it's worth. Will it work? Yes, but you'll be pulling it out frequently to change the fiber.

    If you want a place to hang media bags with carbon, etc, I'd recommend a HOB filter.

    +1. HOB filter is a better choice. I use carbon and GFO in my Whisper 40 HOB filter on a 20g tank. Works like a charm, and is low maintenance.
