you might have a predator. i would bate it first to see it come out. best done in the dark and a red flashlight. then pull out the rock it retreats back in.

Then to many wc's might be stressing or some chemical got in your tank you don't know about. Trace your steps back and see if something unfamiliar went down or if you did something different you never did before.

So, you have 2 tanks, you had the damsel in the first tank for 5 months, you transferred it to the second tank, then it died in 3 days?

Did you cycle the second tank?

Are you running carbon in your HOB filter? And when you say bug, do you actually see anything on the fish when they are in the tank (and yes I saw you said "unknown ...fish are dying here inexplicably.")? Just asking for more clarification.

fish from this tank either go to me my gf thinger or our friend.between us theres 10 dts.i do all the qt in this tank and only treat in the other qt.all tanks r atleast 6 months old with the exception of 1 tank at our friends is about 4.so all tanks are cycled.nd you are correct in addition the damsel was dripped for about 45 min.

i run carbon via hob filter pad and also purigen after that via sock in the hob.

my only notes on fish in this tank are:
fish eat fine 2-3x per day(small feedings proportioned accordingly)
fine upuntil their death(all were ok night before, died on the overnight)
2 tile gobys mouths wer fully locked open both wer about 3inch(occupied tank together)
    fish last 2-3 days

no other visual signs of any sort( no nipped fins, cuts, bugs, amonia burn ect.)

all fish come from a friend who does sorta wholesale but none of his other customers are having issues.he is a reputable guy that i trust alot.the damsel was from my lfs in my 55 reef extremely healthy prior to his addition to the qt.

From my experience it seems you had a sudden drop in oxygen. Possibly due to a chemical entering the water either through the air or leached from something already in the tank. With this tank being 6 months old I'd doubt you are only now leaching something from within it. Have you tested for O2? This would only rule other things out but still not be a definitive source proof positive as many things can drive down O2 levels but at least you would be heading in the right direction.
