i have hydroids, you know the ones that look like tiny feather dusters?well anyway i also have stomatella snails, the ones that look like a slug with a half shell,tan-green in color.well i've been seeing the stometellas around the hydroids and the hydroids are becoming less and less.i think its safe to say the snails are eatting them.is this possible?i hope i'm right cause the snails are reproducing at a rapid rate and soon i may be rid of those stupid hydroids.i thought nudibranche were the only hydroid eaters

Not likely as stomatellas are herbivores. There's a few critters (certain angelfish and wrasses) that are rumored to eat them but it's touch and go as to whether or not they help.

I had to tear down my tank as well. I tried all kinds of things with no luck. They are devil spawns!
