Well it's that time of year, and I am putting together my list. Does anyone have experience with one of the Hydor Koralia Wavemakers?

You can't use regular HK's with the wavemaker. It has to be the newer DC voltage type because of how they work.

A HK rep gave me a demo and it's pretty amazing IMO. However, I had to make payroll and I had a 4500 pound LR order coming in so I didn't buy any.

I debated the hydor wavemaker kit with 2 of the controllable K4's but for the same money I can buy a single MP40w which does more than the Hydor wavemaker and can get better flow with just that one pump

I love the koralias Im currently running 3 in my 75 gallon.
I recently bought the 4 to replace my maxijet with the mod on it and that thing rocks.
I am running the 4, 3 and a 2. It seems to be plenty of flow for the tank. I dont have the concentrators on them and they still seem to get the job done. I love them

People, try to keep in mind that the OP is talking about the wavemaker system, not just the pwerheads. So far there has only been 2 responses that are on topic.
I don't own one, but IMO they are way overpriced for what they are

I know he was talking about the wavemaker, I was just giving my opinion on how well the powerheads alone work
