    Well now that hurricane season is coming up can someone tell me what is needed to keep my tank safe through a long power outage?

    nothing! I did try some stuff back when I can't remember the hurricanes name
    and i end up loosing a flame angel

    Hurricane??? Whats that? Never had one up here in Oregon. o_O

    All you'll need is good temp. and aeration (maybe current if it's off for more than2-3 days). How long are the power outages usually?

    They can range anywhere from two days to two weeks or more

    Agree with Mission... I would think in hurricane areas a good battery backup to hold over till you can get a generator running for temp and flow would be best, but we'll let some others that live in hurricane territory post on what they do!!

    I think Hurricane Wilma was a week and a half but I didnt have my tank
