I was just taking a look at my tank tonight and i just noticed for the first time, hundreds of tiny snails crawling all over the rocks and some on the glass. Is this bad? good? I don't really know what to think of it.

I have the same issue in one of my tanks. I have read that the are harmless in small numbers, but large numbers can pose a problem due to calcium leeching from your water. It really depends what type of tiny snails they are. If the are a conical shape they could be very bad. They could be a type of parisitic snail the feed on clams. A picture would really help. You can always get a sixline wrasse to keep population in check.

    You did ;D

I once had an infestation of literally hundreds (may thousands) over time:-/

Had to suck them off glass almost daily as they were so unsightly in my view...and calcium use was a real concern...

But once adding wrasses (sixline, flame)...they completely disappeared over time.

    :cheesy:

Oh yeah, I think we've all had these (at least a few here and there)... as I think someone already said, they come in waves (booms and busts). They'll likely start to die off eventually... I wouldn't worry about it (I kind of like them actually).
