Thanks! Picssssss needed! I've been watching them all day since I put the duo in. They keep playing in front of the same circulater and stopping before he/she hits the over flow box.

Mine pretty much just sits in one spot in the flow and constantly swims. The video I posted in my own thread is like a 15 second short story about what he has done since I added him this morning. Very cool how they are so active! :D

(also, I didn't want to post my pics in your thread)

I saw your video! My one does that but the other is such a turd. It will go near the powerhead, get pushed in the current then go under the over flow box. Then it goes back to its mate and swims circles around it. So funny!!!

I don't mind your pics in here :) Gotta share the clown awesomeness!

    *Update*

My babies survived the night. I know it may not be a big deal for most but to me its amazing because these two are my first S/W fish. They are still lively as yesterday and I think I can start seeing who is already bigger even though they are still so tiny cute!;D

    on the feeding...

I've kept a pair of O clowns for a couple years now.

I feed them 2x a week. And just a pinch. I rotate what I feed.

IMO, these other suggestions are just asking for high nitrates.

Clowns are damsels, and as damsels, they will feed themselves off the rockwork. As you add corals and start to feed the corals, they'll feed off the excess there (and steal some as well).

In a new tank, I'd feed more than 2x a week as there won't be as much food available naturally in the rock work. But I would never feed clowns more than 4x a week max.

I've been doing this for a couple years... they aren't starving to death so I can only conclude that ya'll are overfeeding your tanks.

I can't say that this advice is good or bad but I do know that there are studies that have been done that concluded that underfeeding can lead to just as many health problems as overfeeding. I do agree that you don't need to feed 2 times a day like most people think.

It certainly is a big deal! My own clown survived it's second night in my tank last night and let me tell you that I'm breathing a sigh of relief. It's so exciting I went out and got the second one to make it a pair like yours! :D

Mine don't seem to eat anything. I've seen them poop a few times though so I know they are at least eating SOMETHING. The smaller clown that I added just a few hours ago seems to have abandoned his/her partner for the powerhead but I'm hoping it's just the acclimation process. The yellowtail damsel is starting to show his famous aggression as well.

I hate to say it but I think the Yellowtail and the Hawkfish are going to back to the LFS. I still have little enough rock to actually be able to pull this task off fairly easily.

Both fish are amazing fish but I demand peace!!! ;D

Edit: sorry to semi-hijack the thread.
