Bigger the better, more water volume to displace bad husbandry. :p

I like a 50 gallon but a 36 would be cheaper. I am going to ask my LFS for prices with a whole set up.

Try going as big as your wallet allows you to. Its better to make few bigger jumps rather than many small ones. IMO Luna

Amen! You should be trying for around a 100g to 125g if you are wanting a reef tank. Not much room in 55g and below to put any rock.

    Good advice

If I get the 50 it'll be more expensive to fill up. So if I go with the 36 i'll have more money to spend inside the tank

It your money but I bet in about a year or two you will be spending more money upgrading and you will have this 36g sitting in the garage collecting dust.

It really depends on your budget. :-/

I might decide again on the 50

I will talk to my LFS about pricing and what they can get

id look more into craigslist or local paper sell ads, unless your LFS gets really good deals on glass tanks, one of the LFS here sells tanks up to 75g for $1 per gallon of tank size, I.E. 50g tank is $50

Tried to talk him into a 300g for that deal but he just laughed at me
