how to make it quiet

    im getting prepared to drill the back of my new aga 210. i need the drains to be silent so im gonna set up a durso system i think. im using 2inch drains. my question is it this the way to go ? any other ideas?

    No it isnbt. You need to research Herbie overflow or bean-animal overflow. Best thing you can do.

    i like the herbie but im just not sure how effective it will flow with dual 2 inch overflows...?

    How so... plenty of folks run duals.... with a big drain you won't need duals... you could do a coast to coast overflow if you wanted more surface skim....

    If you want silent you want a Herbie. I don't see why everyone does not have one. Best mod I made to my tank.

    I have dual 2" overflows on my 150. The canopy quiets down the noise.

    The Herbie is 100% silent. Zero noise. Not only is that a good thing, but there are zero bubbles... so no salt creep, no splashing, and no bubbles in the sump. Point being if you are drilling and going custom, all you havering do is is the same principles and have a great quiet overflow set up exactly how you want. It's a piece of cake.

    I do believe the herbies benifits and I believe they work ...im concerned with the flow.
