Hey 3reef, recently I have added 1 coral beauty angelfish into my 29g.
Today I have checked the water and ammonia has came out to be 0.4.
Current live stock is, 1 angel, 2 hermit, 1 turbo snail. I was planning on adding 2 clowns today, but I'm guessing it will be a bad idea?
My angelfish is doing fine, swims a lot, picks on rock and glass a lot, eats a lot very healthy.

    What should I do?

Wait until your ammonia AND nitrites are 0 before you add anything else.

I'm guessing you had the tank set up for too short of a time before you started adding livestock.

How long has your tank been set-up, is it fully cycled?

I would def not add two clowns it will raise the AM more. If you tank was completely cycled, it's possible you may see a small AM spike from your bio-load which will correct itself as your tank adjusts.

Stocking SW should be done very slowly so that your bio-load can catch up to the fish you add. I would wait a bit and once params have settled you can add the clown pair, that would be the most I'd add to a tank of that size. If you tried to do more, you may overload it.

Well the tank has been set for 11 month, but during thanks giving, I went on a trip to Vegas, but heater died so everything went to blizzard disaster, causing everything dead when I got back. And from then I haven't touched my tank until may, but kept the power head running and the filter. Is 0.4 really high ammonia?

So, your tank died off in December, and you didn't have a source of ammonia in it until you added all this stuff in the last couple weeks?

    /facepalm....

    any ammonia is high ammonia...

i think during your, um, "down time" your bacteria counts dropped... probably alot.

I think you are experiencing a mini cycle based on my past experience with you mkiz.

I would wait it out... if it sticks around too much, might want to get rid of the angel.

IMO, 2 clowns and a dwarf angel is overstocked for a 29... But that's me and I tend to lower stockings...

Your CuC definitelly needs beefed up. They play their role in the cycle as well for breaking things down. I think I already mentioned that to you... reefcleaners.org and all that.

Haha, yeh I guess, is that not good? Is my tank going through another cycle?
I added the angel fish last week, because the water params were fine.

there's some. When you first cycle your tank, you don't have to add bacteria, so I don't see why you would now. You'll just have to wait it out. I don't imagine it will take as long as initially (your rock in there still, I forget).

Wait for the CuC when your ammonia/nitrites zero back down...
