How in the world do I get these guys (feather dusters) out of my tank? I want to do it right the first time so thats why I'm asking. I am assuming I take a tweezers and pull them out... :/

Why would you take them out?
They are a filter feeder and do no harm

Your tweezers solution is a good idea although I don't understand why you want a to kill a harmless animal.

Well when you put it that way you make me sound like a killer.. they are all over the main section of my tank and I thought it would be nice to clean it up.

Also I feel this would fall under that category of a "hitchhiker" for example Aiptasia..

I love them, personally I dont have enough! They take so much out of the water that you'd be amazed what happens with out them. IMO they are beautiful, I understand you have lots! but just be glad its not something like vermitid snails or something :)

i have the same issues. My 28g biocube has hundreds and hundreds of them. I havent done anything wtih them and probably will not but it does get to a point where you are tired of seeing these dusters all over your corals, walls, rocks etc. A couple months ago i changed out alot of my rock in that tank thinking it would help, but they were still in the system and spread very fast.
I dont think it is killing harmless animal at the point it becomes a pest in your tank, so if you finda way let me know! They have attached onto my LPS corals and my zoas

You can cut back on some of the feedings you do in the tank. I feed a lot and do very frequent water chnages in that system as I do have some NPS in there, so that is feeding them.

Whatever you do, dont go in a radically kill them, as the die off will cause a cycle especially in a 28g. if you do kill them only do a small section at a time.

Your gonna get some peps who think a little differently about what's a pest an what's not. Don't sweat it, just tweeze em! ;)

well i'm like the rest, i can't get enough of them but, if you want them gone a copperband butterfly will do the trick or a longnose hawkfish.
