Not my post but this should help
Page 318 of Calfo's Book of Coral Propagation (Second Edition) is on Duncanopsammia axifuga fragmentation. He suggests using a dremel blade to cut the Duncan at the base of the branches. Small Duncans can be scored with the blade and then broken with a flathead screwdriver.

They have a VERY dense skeleton just like a Stylophora. You can't just snap them like you could a Euphyllia. I use a diamond blade on a Dremel. Occasionally, your Duncanopsis is thin enough that you can use one of these. Millers Forge Large Dog Nail Clipper - - Shopping.com

I use either a dremel with a diamond cutting wheel or the Taam Reef HD Coral Clippers.

dog nail clippers or bone shears work great.
