I just got my new BRS RO/DI system and my faucet is not your standard faucet that the adopter they provide will work. Does any have experience or suggestions on how to connect ro/di system to faucet? This is my preferred method as i live in an apartment with no garage.
See the pictures below to see my 2 faucet choices.
    thanks!!

Doesn't the head of the faucet unscrew? It should, there is a screen behind the head that needs to be cleaned out every so often or you would not get any water out of it after a period of time, it would just clog up. In pic 3, just the lower portion of the faucet, its smaller than the rest of the body, it should unscrew.

Also, if you can't get that to work, you can go to Home Depot and buy a Y- adaptor for under your sink and attach it to your cold water pipe. You have to be able to shut the water off to the apartment though, in order to install this adaptor. This will split up the pipes for you to add the RO to the system alongside the normal waterline.

the kitchen sink does detach. see the new pictures. the bath sink i tried to un screw and well i just scratch the piece(yes i protected it). and it did turn a bit. but with the piece i have(pictured) i know it wouldn't fit. so did not want to continue the effort. so if anyone know the correct adopter for either of these fixtuered...well that would be awesome. i am really trying to stay away from taping into the plumbing.
Thanks! i need to do a water change ASAP! HA!

Get an adapter at Lowes or Home Depot. They have several choices so take both the piece you unscrewed off the faucet and the RO adapter with you.

Do you have a laundry room? I used a y adapter on the cold side of my washing machine and run the unit and the washer off the same line. I mounted the RO unit on the shelf above and run the drain into the drain of the washing machine.

You can always use a vampire tap. Ask about it at your hardware store.

Not a good idea on apartment taps. The Y adaptor is actually something you can leave behind without leaks.
