I've been having to recalibrate mine with 1.026 calibration fluid every time before I can take measurements. Somehow it always drifts, plus I dont trust an instrument in my hands that hasn't been calibrated in a week.

Usually about once every couple months or when I feel like it is not giving me the number I thought it would.

I do the same, but mine has stopped drifting as much and as often after several months of use.

Mine doesn't drift as bad as it used too, but I still calibrate when I do my water changes just to be safe. So every 2 weeks give or take.

Does it have temp compensation? I'm surprised it drifts. I've found mine dosn't drift much, but it does have temperature compensation. I probably calibrate every month or so, sometimes less...

Mine never needs adjustment either. It's been years.

Mine is the Marine Depot house brand, and it does have auto temp compensation. I just think the spring inside needs time to settle down.
