I'm buying a 2 little fishes phosban reactor and I want to know how much media to use. The 150 Ml bag treats 150 gallons, I only have a ~72 gallon volume of water tank. Should I cut open the bag and only add half to the reactor or just put the whole bag into the reactor? How fast should the water be pushing through the reactor as well, I know 80-90 gph, but does anyone know kinda how that looks like cuz I only have a maxi-jet 1200 to run into it, I'd use the ball-valve to adjust the flow. If need be I'll buy a 400 just to make things easy, but I'd like to use equipment that's not being used.

Use a quarter of a jar at first. After a week or so, you can move up to half a jar. (Remember, nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank. Even good things, if done too fast, are not good).

You want the flow adjusted so that the surface of the GFO is just barely boiling. If it's shooting way up into the reactor, that's too much flow.

IMPORTANT: Remember to waste the first output water into buckets until the brown water turns clear.

good call, I'll start with a quarter first, I read that if phosphate drops too fast in the tank the PH can drop as well leading to drop in Alk, I really don't want to wack out my param's. When the phosphates drop I've been reading about Warner Marine PHOSaR HC to put into my reactor, I'v read nothing but absolutely great reviews about this product, was just wondering if anybody has used it around here?

I've not personally used it. However, anything that Jon put out in the past is of extraordinary quality.
