    Hi Guys,

I am rethinking my stocking list and was wondering how many fish you think I could eventually get. I just got my diamond goby a little over a week ago, so I would like to wait at least another 3 weeks before I add anything else. Right now I have 2 clarkii clowns, a small hippo tang, and the diamond goby. I know the tang will get too big for my tank, but I have a deal with the LFS to take her back if I don't already have a bigger tank by then. I also have 2 cleaner shrimp. I was thinking about a six line wrasse and maybe a flame angel for some color. Do you think that would be good or do you have any other suggestions. Thanks in advance!!!

    Regards,
    Ivy

i think you would be fine gettin a 6line and flame , but as you said, your hippo will have to go . im a big fan of the flasher wrasses colorful and look cool when they flash ya. lol. they should all coexist fine. with those 2 wish fish you would have a very nice lookin tank.

Once the hippo tang goes a wrasse and dwarf angel will be fine.

The amount of fish that you can have all depends on the effectiveness of your filration system. Always remember to introduce the most aggressive fish on your list last.

Do you have any corals? Because flame angels will eat corals.

nothing you are done and this is why. (have been typing this a lot lately) Tangs consume a ton of oxygen. Way more than you will be able to provide the little guy for very long. Really it's not about your filtration, it's about whether or not your fish is going to be able to breath. Your 55 just doesn't have enough surface area to sustain one of the little guys. You put more fish in and then you'll just have a bigger issue on your hands.

every angel that I have tried to add has been a coral eater. Even the "reef safe" bellus angel had to be caught and exported.

True but you have the exception NOT the rule, thats the difference, to me its not worth it to put a 50 dollar fish that looks awsome in a tank with 10k worth of coral and hope for the best and hope i got the exception and not the rule.
