Hey out there i just set up my 130 litre tank and added 25kg of live rock.
it seems as though there is a lot of rock in the tank, is it possible to add too much live rock?
The ratio of live rock to water is around 60/40 (60% water-40% live rock)
    Is this ok?????

thats okay with what youve got there. 55 lbs in a 35 gal or so tank. thats a lb and half per gal.

Just make sure your rocks are secure so they don't fall.

Hey thanks for the quick reply, it just looked like a lot of rock. Ive seen videos of this tank on you tube and most people tend to have less rock.
Is it bad to have too much live rock??

a little lesson jed. a kilo is 2.2 lbs. so 25 k is 55lbs. and theres roughly 4 litres in an imperial gallon. a u.s gallon is a bit smaller than imperial. and colcol , arent you forgettin something? pics? lol

The only time there would be too much rock in my opinion is when you can't fit any more rock in the tank, or the fish can't move because of the amount of rock :D

Just like you can never have too much water flow, until the corals are getting ripped off of the rocks.

I'm gonna have to disagree with steve on this one. I personally think that there can easily be too much rock in a tank. I like being able to move water between the rocks to creat more flow in between them to keep detriutus suspended better so my overflow can grab it and do it's job. I also think that a tank that is packed with rock provides less swimming room for fish which is also a bad thing.

Thanks, I know all that, I guess I should have been more accurate and said I am too lazy to figure it out!
