its up and running now actually.. i've just started toying with the idea of selling.. it had some random corals in it.. still has a very large head of leather.. never used any copper in it.. I'd probably walk with 800 pretty happily if thats what its worth.. Its a great tank.. and its pretty much turn key... just don't have the time to devote to it any longer

Unfortunately as stated by others, $1500 is alot for the way the economy is now. You could have gotton that a couple of yrs ago, but not now. Your set up looks pretty good quality, which is a plus for you. There are so many factors, but to help you get more "buck for your bang" keep these facts in mind. 60% of sales depends on how you pitch it. Be unique on how you word your description, use good adj's. Where you place the ad is also important. You dont want to place it where people go to buy cheap, like craigslist. Go a little higher than what your willing to accept b/c people will always offer less. Never sound desperate and always say that you have a better offer. As stated by another member, luck is also a factor. You just might get lucky and meet up with someone that falls in love with your set up and pays you what you want. I would say between $700-$800 Good luck with that.

nice setup. before i went out and bought all this stuff i checked out the return if i failed horribly in the first year... and it looked like 25% -35% of what you pay... 40% on the high end. Unfortunately onces its invested its not worth selling out.

I believe parting out would be your best option as well. Livestock can be sold off for decent prices as well.
    Patience is key.

Beautiful tank though, I hope you get a decent return.

Stand and canapoy look like quality and good looking. Thats a plus for some. Also, was it custom installed with the lights under the hood or do you have a pre-built fixture. Some like the modular setups so you change failed components instead of the whole unit because a ballast went bad, etc. You really need to do your home work on your tank and pitch its positive aspects if your looking for a good return.
