    how much would a new pane of glass be 72x30x1/2? just went out to my tank and saw the side was cracked(damn snowblower)

    I don't know for sure...I would go to Lowe's and check. But 1/2" plate glass is going to be expensive. Especially of that size.

    lowes wont carry that.

    Call all the local glass shops and start shopping for it. Its not going to be cheap, but will be less expensive than a new tank. Plus glass shops will usually drill for you.

    Make sure you get double strength glass. You will need to go to a glass shop to get the glass also.

    I think was running about $9-10 per sq ft when I was pricing glass like a month ago.
