So would 3 koralia evo 1050's be too much for a 55g mixed reef? - 3,150 gph water flow - that 57x my tank volume. Or should I go with 3 750's, at 2250gph, 40x my tank volume?

I got 2 1400gph sure flow and 350gph return = 57x for my 55g. its get tricky for coral placements when your tanks stocked and do mixed (sps/lps/softies) corals. on a good note, dont have to worry about stuff settling on the substrate.

If you have water shooting out of the tank = too much flow.

If when you feed the food disapears before the fish can get to it = too much flow.

lol. I knew that much scott. Oh & night-rida, the return pump will be an eheim 1260 - 600-some gph minus my 5ft of head loss.

then Id go with the smaller pumps if you plan on having more lps/softies in the tank.
