    Time of year, what other energy is used by the whole house (due to tiering), and local energy price factors into this one heavily, so it's not really a meaningful comparison.

    Who knows, 650w lights, 150w in pumps, 300w heater-comes on at nite in summer, and more ac for the heat the lights put out...

    I didnt pay for power with my last tank (thank you school housing). And now I am trying to figure out if I have a faulty appliance, or if its just the tank. But it looks like an extra $50 a month for my 55 w/ fuge/sump is about right in cali.
