    I personally don't really care. As long as I'm able to manage it, I will pay what I have to. This is the first..well..second..(fishing)..thing I have found that I really LOVE doing.

    Buuut if I had to put a price tag on it I would say upwards of 5k :)

    i've spent thousands I guess on the 55 gal setup presently running but I ran into a deal today I could'nt pass up!!....its another 55 i'm really wanting a lot bigger tank later but this is an acrylic 55,PFO 175dual ballast hood and bulbs,200 mix of Oceanic salt never used all kinds of extra stuff for $250;D

    I started in Feb this year. I have a 25 gallon with 5 fish, good filtration, powerheads, and a skimmer, along with some nice lighting.

    After all so far... I'd say prolly 1200. Which is not good. Because.. yeah, I figured it'd be way less when I started... and now I know, that it's just a fraction of what I will spend over the next few years.

    250 gallon reef tank, or mortgage? hmmm.. dumb question.
