I have purchased from topdog as well, good seller. They only sell odyessa lights.

I guess my question is does the 36" odyessa light have the same problem that my 24" size light does when brackets are on, that it is actually too big for the size it says its made for thus you have to place the light on the rim and the thing sits cockeyed on the tank even closer to the water line.

This is a link to a youtube review of the light, the guy explains this lenght problem I have been talking about.

Has anyone had the 36" does it have this problem on a 36" tank

I have the 36 inch light. I bought it for my 29 gallon and it had this problem, since the actual light housing is 30 inches long, it sat on the edge of the tank. But now I have it on a 36 inch long tank and it works like its supposed to. They say it fits "up to 36 inches".Pay attention to the dimensions of the light itself when buying it. Topdog sellers lists the dimensions, and is also where I bought mine.
