how many powerheads

cool i get it now so how many powerheads you think i would need in tank for perfect flow

 

Re-read post #2 in this thread, it was the first question I answered It depends. Too many things have an impact on it. Even something as simple as where you put the rocks will have a part in flow patterns in the tank.

 

One powerhead every half inch or so should do it. Or back a jetski into it and have at it.

But, only if they have gate valves on them

Put the protein skimmer in the first compartment, where the water is coming in from the drain so that the first place it can go is to the skimmer. Put the heater in the same compartment with the return pump.

The jetski or every half inch powerheads? I have put a Mag18 into a 12G nano tank. The mushrooms were pissed as all get out about it.
