how many fish can i rear in 45litres?

    i've got a clownfish inside my 45 litres fish tank now, n i was wondering if i can add anymore. how many more can i add? and i only can add the same type of clownfish right?

    yes only of the same species. as far as fish go, its generally 1 inch to every 3 to 5 gallon. dependant on the fish type , their aggression and eating habits. you also have to take into account, how big will they get. will they outgrow my tank. so you would be looking at between 9 to 12 inches of fish. hope this helps abit

    im only rearing 1 nemo clownfish inside my tank now, but i feel like adding some more. more of diff types of fish! haha but i know i cant. not even african clownfish or clarkii? nemos do grow big, but very slow growers

    thats true they do grow slow. you can add another "nemo" , initially there might be a bit of unrest due to the other fish thinkin its his tank and whos this foreigner. but theres many other cool fish that would work well in your tank.

    ooh so means i can add others like african clownfish too? thats great! yea i heard they do fight in the beginning, but eventually they'll be alrigth ;p

    no didnt mean another clown species. that would be ugly. meant one of the same type. e.g a nemo .

    its best not to mix clownfish species, by nemo i take it you mean Occellaris? they tend not to get too big, usually the maroons get the biggest (females).

    haha i have a 2 inch maroon now he's so adorable xD i'm hoping to find him a mate some day

    haha ok! your maroon mix wiht my ocellaris, then we can come out with some funny breed! n get rich!

    I think you'd come out with one maroon clown. :)

    Your tank is on the very small side for a marine fish tank, so you will be limited to just a couple small fish. I think another ocellaris clown and maybe a very small blenny, goby or wrasse will finish it for you. More than 2-3 small fish will be overcrowded.
