We just upgraded from a 125 gal to a 150, because old tank was popping leaks. Got new sand and switched all the rock & live rock to new tank. Our fish are in a 5 gallon bucket w/bubbler & heater until the water clears, it been 2 days & the water is still a little milky but testing really good, is this normal (cloudiness) and how long will my fish ok in the 5 gallon bucket (so far they're all doing great. I hate that they have to stay in there but they don't seem to mind.

I had a cracked tank and had to change tanks without planning. Had fish for about 24 hours in the buckets. Then put them in the new tank once I had the rock and sand in place. All my rock was kept alive by keeping it in the buckets, and everything survived fine. They seemed less stressed going into the semi milky (I didnt have much of a dust storm, but still some) new tank then staying in their buckets.

Perfect! You made my Day & Night! I tested so many times I need a new tester. I was just worried about them being in the bucket too long. We're acclamating now by adding some of the new (and the old tank) tank to their water bucket, then they go in tomorrow. Thanks so much. I was worried about a crack, we were sprouting leaks everywhere the last 3 month's used about 3 tubes of silicone everywhere! And i have new carpet installed tomorrow, with all that banging around I figured for sure it would burst! Old tank was all scratched up anyhow. Thanks again, have a GREAT weekend & wish me luck, I'm a wuss when anything dies, I had a clown fish die a few years ago & cried like a baby myself! Thanks for answering so fast.

I would add them now. Cloudiness in the water is ok if it's simply because of the new sand.
