Did I follow this right? You filled your tank with freshwater, and then added salt, correct? And now your rocks, sand, and bacterial supplement are in the tank before all the salt is mixed, is that right? Was it live rock and sand? Was it in the tank when you filled it with freshwater? You can't do that.

The salt and water can be mixed in the tank IF it's empty. It should also remain empty until all the salt is mixed and the SG stabilized. Whatever survived the freshwater is now getting burned by the dry salt that keeps settling on it. And even if the rocks and sand were dry, it still creates problems with stabilizing your SG.

Not much you can do now... what's done is done. I wouldn't bother with the SG until after the cycle, you can slowly adjust it then (with mixed SW). Just understand that if there was life, most if not all is lost.
