How Long till My base rock turns back?

    Hey guys I had some aiptasia on 2 peices of healthy looking LR. Couldn't get rid of the bastards. They just icked me the hell out. So I nuked them for over the course of week 1/2. How long will they start to turn again being that everything else has coralaine algea all over it?

    Hey big joey -
    if you have a good coralline growth on other rocks then it will not take to long before these cleansed rock are colonised , it helps if you seed them, by scapping some coralline off from other areas and letting it settle on these clean ones
    keep you calc and magnesium levels optimum to encourage development

    As steve said you will start to see new coraline in a week or 2, but now that you nuked the rock, in order to get it back to live rock, this could take some what longer...

    Coraline has nothing to do with it becoming live again it is the bacteria that you makes it live rock....
