    Good morning,

I have a MP40 WES on a 72 Gallon Bowfront. I have a Apex Controller with the WXM to controll my MP40.

I am looking at diferant ways to set it up and I wanted to see how this community sets theirs up.

    Im looking for:
    1. What kind of Corals you have in your tank.
    2. Placement
    3. Speeds
    4. What codes you use for programing.
For my Tank I mainly have SPS with some LPS. I have the MP40 placed on the left side, centered, and about 6 inches from the top. I set everything to 60%. Here is my code.

    Fallback OFF
If Time 08:00 to 09:00 Then Nutrient
If Time 09:00 to 16:00 Then Pulse
If Time 16:00 to 08:00 Then Lagoon

I am looking to set up my vortech differently to better handle my sps and other stuff in my tank and want to see what works for you.

Please let me know and thank you.

I picked one up off a tip new for 390. WAYYYY better then the Koralia I used before. I don't know about the Bowfront, but I could maybe use a second one on my 100 gallon if I really wanted to make things choppy as I can tell the surface waves die down at about 48 inchs. That being said, I usually only crank the thing to 60 percent or so. I don't use a controller and normally function in lagoon. In that tank since it is only 2 months old I only have cabbage coral (that is spreading like the plague), a Kenya Tree, some feather dusters and Mushrooms. The inhabitants all love it but I have noticed the glass around and on the powerhead has much more algae. most likely because the snails don;t like the flow immediately around it. I don't have a controller so I can't help you there but will most likely be gaining one this Christmas.

    1. What kind of Corals you have in your tank. SPS, LPS and Softies
    2. Placement -MP40 on the left wall 6" from the top centered, MP60 on the right wall 10" from the top and centered on the front of the tank
    3. Speeds - 65% on both they are synced
[*]What codes you use for programing.- I dont have a APEX but RKL-Plus and I switch between reef crest and pulse mode.
All on a 75 gallon ;D My everything loves some strong flow lol

    In my 34g Solana w/ 2 MP10s:

    1. Corals - All softies at the moment while I let my tank mature a bit. I'll be adding lots of LPS and SPS in a month or two.

    2. Placement - First MP10esW on the left wall near the front of the tank, 6" from the surface. Second MP10esW on the back wall near the right side of the tank, 6" from the surface.

    3. Speed - 60% max. I may up it a bit when I start adding SPS.

    4. Codes - I still haven't picked up a wireless module for my Apex - I may add one in the future, but it's pretty far down on my wishlist. As far as programming goes, I run the pumps in Nutrient Transport Mode. The pumps are able to produce a standing wave on the lowest anti-sync'd "short pulse" time setting.
