Your "method" isnt proven, just your "luck". Hmm, okay, go tell your method to my 7 dead fish in the backyard that ate like pigs (fresh clam and fresh raw shrimp and everything in between) until the end. I want you to dig each one up, tell them your story and then tell them to get back into the tank where they belong and had been for 6 months before.

Oh, and when did i say to go chase around a stresed fish, unless you expect that fish to stay stressed all its life, then, by your definition, its gonna die anyways from stress?

I almost agreed with your post until you said "99.999% it will fix itself!". I guess I am the .001%? Lucky me, lol??? Just pointing out that honestly, those are sucker odds for the next person.

Somehow I doubt that's what happened...

Congrats on your fish recovering, Swims!

7 healthy fish plus one new one that had ick (which I didnt know at the time) which gave it to the others and they all followed suit to the back yard. Glad I had the same motto at first like OP and left them alone and just kept feeding them ::)

Sounds like you had a really bad experience and now you think it is your way or the highway lol. We know where you stand on this issue already. 8) Your experience isn't the only one though on these forums.

I agree. Something must have gone wrong in your system because in order for a fish to catch ick, it must be stressed. Just because a sick fish is in the same system doesn't mean your other fish will get it. Unless the other fish are unhealthy/stressed.
