Completely agree with these guys. There is nothing worse than somebody asking for help or advice and not taking it.

Kill the pods and kill your tank.

stupidest thing I ever heard. I bet interceptor would work though... as it lies you have alot of problems with the level of bioload on your system from all your posts anyway, if you destroy a decent detrivore you deserve to lose your other stock as well. Let your ecosphere thrive how it wants to.

Right on,it will saturate the silicone caulking and you can change all the water you want,it won't stop leeching out,the tank would be ruined for use as a reef or inverts.Slow down!!Start reading..

Have you guys ran into pods eating polyps? I'm not sure of the proper name so here is a picture. But I have seen my huge full grown pods just hanging out around the base of these polyps and they have been starting to thin out (the colony) ever since I've noticed the pods hanging around them...I also notice what appears to be brown algae on their base. But very little perhaps a spot or two on a few...

Grinder I can't get a pic of the bugs they are too small. I'm fairly certain they are pods. They look like tiny shrimp and they also scurry across my LR and are in and out of holes within the LR. I also find them in my filter padding material.

In keeping with the essence of this post, just treat it with copper, than you do have to worry about bugs, or the coral. :-/

Would definately question anything else your LFS tells you....
Copper will leach into your rock, your silicone, your filtration etc. You will never ever be able to get it out of your tank at levels that will be safe for inverts or coral. Even with use of the copper removing agent. It will be in any pourous surface in your tank!

Also copper is very very dangerous to dose to begin with. You have to test the levels of copper in your system, if you dont have enough air in the tank it will kill all livestock!

I am sorry, but I just cant phanthom wanting to get rid of them! There are so many of them in your tank because you are OVERSTOCKED! They are responsible for eating all the waste and the food in your system.

Again, just because YOU want something doesnt mean it is ok.......
and to your next question, NO you can not have a mandrine to eat them. The mandarine will starve in a week in a tank that size!
