How do you gauge your tank success?

    +1 on longevity, I also judge by growth of coral / coralline and water parameters.

    lol My Achilles tang is alive day by day :p Other then that film algae and how the corals look.

    When I get new additions...How fast they take to open,extend polyps. If they look as happy as they did in the LPS or happier. Although Algae and crystal clear water is not a direct indicator of the health of the tank, it sure does make me happy with the apperance.
