how do i make a refugium?

I posted this in the coral section too, but how do i make a refugium and what do i need? I need it for my gobies

As you know by now the possibilities are endless when it comes to reugiums.
Most are under the tank behind closed doors but as you are wanting to put gobies in it I take it that you want to keep this above the tank or near the tank?
Why do you want to take the gobies out of the main tank?
The setup depends on where you are wanting to put the refugium. I am sure the great minds here can come up with something for you.

 

oh actually I'm not wanting to take the gobies out, but I hear it is good for the gobies in the main tank to have one that is giving the extra....I have no idea what it gives.... I'm more wondering...how do i do it?

 

Again this depends are where you want the refugium. Mine is next to the sump under the tank.
I put a bulk head into a rubbermaid tub that drains down to the sump. In the sump I have a small pump going to the refugium. I have sand, grape algae and live rock in it.

 

my ecosystem refuge leaks so I was wondering how u could make your own out of a 10 gal. aquarium without any drilling of my main tank. I want to put it above my tank.

From your post it would appear that the tank drains to the Refugium and then to the SUMP and then back to the Refugium.?

Does your SUMP pump return to the main tank..
ie: Tank-Ref.-Sump-Tank?
