How Did You End Up On 3reef Anyway?

No offense taken Joe, the WRS forum moves a little too slowly unfortunately.

I have a ton of posts on RC, but IMHO, that site is pretty much only good for new product reviews and news about new stuff coming to market. There is way too much attitude there, and the search button won't work unless you pay. garbage..

 

I had kept saltwater fish only tanks on and off for close to 15 years then decided to take the plunge into corals a few years back and ended up here with questions. Great community and allot of helpful people.

 

I was looking for answers on Google, and needed advise on corals since I kept fish only aquariums before, and always thought that corals were impossible for me to keep. Then I came across 3Reef, the question I had which at this time don't know what it was...lol I couldn't not fine anywhere and I had to register to ask, so I did! then I meet a lot of fellow
reefers that supported me and everyone was very friendly. The first friend that added me to his buddy list was Missionsix66, and I accepted! then others, to many to mention! But for the noobie reefer as well as the advanced ones, I found out that 3Reef is user friendly and the users are always willing to help. So I also opted to help whenever possible.

 

The Dr. prescribed me this forum. And like things doctors prescribe i became addicted.

 

agree with all above. i started my first sw tank a year ago, and googling questions always led to links to 3reef. the karma system is cool (although i feel way behind, guess i dont help enough!) overall, this is a great place for sw tank help!

I agree,there seems to be no other site with this much great info...and what sets it aside from the rest would have to be all the people on here...with all of your patience there is never a stupid question.even if youve heard it 20 x`s before....

 

I actually followed a person that I trusted and gave me good advise. he became a MOD here and so I joined. Too bad he isn't around the site anymore, but Then getting to know Matt, we became cybor-friends and the rest is history

 

I started out lurking on several forums - 3 or 4 of them. Like several other posters mentioned, a lot of what I googled took me back to 3reef, and everybody seemed willing to help and didn't make me feel like a newbie! I finally signed up and was making Jwin ask some of my questions under my account. He finally got tired of it and signed up for his own account!

 

I stumbled across 3reef just like most others, searching google. It was a while back and I can't even remember what I was searching for at the time
