Also i might add they are very smart people here. But you'll find out. With lots of different idea's that really work!

This isn't just a great fish/reef forum it's a world class forum site.

I am new to this hobby. I've had my saltwater set up for only about a year and a bit. I have many questions and concerns for my reef. For me....I was really impressed with the quick responses from this forums members. I looked a the times of the posts, how many views, and how quickly those posts received replies. Very impressive and informative. Thumbs up to all the members that are willing to share their experience with others!

 

No argument there. I was searching for answers to a problem I was having with a piece of equipment, I didn't find them on the forum I had been on. I found them here. In fact I found a lot of potential answers here! I was very impressed with that. It just seems like this place is filled with friendly people who want to help others involved in this hobby. Can't ask for much more than that.

I was considering keeping Acro SPS corals, so did a google search for information
3 reef cropped up a lot, so I read through some threads and then read through some more and decided the people seemed approachable, freindly and knowledgable - and joined

and I was impresssed by the fact that unlike other sites, on this site, the old hands, the experienced reef keepers, will take the time to answer newbie questions

I had been on other sites in the past where the long term members communicated amongst each other and newcomers and the less experienced people talked amongst themselves

this site seemed special to me, in that when I posted my 1st question , the calibre, experience. knowledge of the people who took the time to reply to me, was a refreshingly pleasant experience

I was a member of reefcentral and got tired of waiting days to have my questions answered and then when they were I always got an answer that didn't help me any or a rude comment. So I had to google to get help and everytime I did 3reef was there to help. So I joined and don't plan on leaving. Answers have always been very helpful, polite, and quick.

 

Bawest told me about this site. Now he never comes around anymore.

 

did a search and a thread popped up... Best thing that ever happened to me.. Made all my tanks very successful..

 

I have posted on a few boards for awhile now... My hometown club the WRS' forum is nice but I would like to see more posts and more people, no offense any of you WRS members!!
Reefcentral would always fit the bill but like others said the chips on the shoulder and biting off of "newbie" heads irritated me.
I stumbled on a few others that didn't really fit what I was looking for...
Somehow I fell on 3reef.
I always thought the idea of "karma" was fun so I signed on to 3reef after noticing how it worked.

Ever since then I make sure I fit in at least 10mins of my hectic day to troll the site...
If only I had as much time on my hands as I did when I started posting here!!
