How Did You End Up On 3reef Anyway?

I've been a member of other forums such as ultimatereef and reefcentral, on a recent google search 3reef came up, I didn't realise it existed, but seems like a really friendly community with lots of interesting and informative threads and love karma so I joined...

 

Just happened to stumble in and have really never left.

 

I was on this other forum and each post had to be reviewed by the moderator before it was posted, one even took over 5days to post. Not what I was looking for in a forum if I had an emergency. Stumbled on this website when I decided to look elsewhere and was very pleased with everybody and the info available. And as people have said, can't beat that cool looking logo 8).

 

people on 3reef are much nicer, laidback and have a sense of humor. On other sites people are too anal and mean(reefcentral) lol

logo is cool and the site is more organized than reef central. More categories to post your threads so they dont get lost as fast

i posted something about my skimmer on reefcentral and couple of days later it was on the 20th page lol and didnt come up when searched on google with the exact title. Everything i post here pops up on google instantly.

I don't like the fact that you cant share your experience with onlinecompanies on 3reef but thats about it.

 

I was sick and tired of my freshwater tanks (not the chichlid thought) and I wanted to go with saltwater. While trying to answer all of my questions through google, I kept getting directed here to 3Reef. Well after reading tons of posts and realizing that the people here arent jerks who just flame new people, I took the jump and signed up.. Now im addicted and probably spend a good hour a day on this just looking around.
Glad to be here..

They are cool with fresh people new to hobby.

They don't flame because you don't know anything.

I was just doing research on google when I was researching tanks and came by 3reef and have not left

 

Heh, this thread prompted me to search the forums for all the threads I ever started and see what were my first ones. Wow...I was clueless. I couldn't remember since I joined over 3 years ago. Apparently I was worried that my tank would be without one PC bulb for a week while a new one came in to replace the broken one. LOL!! I forgot all about that incident but definitely remember now.

And some of my other initial posts...wow...I was paranoid!

And I'm guessing I was Googling something and stumbled upon here. I remember I had problems with signing up for forums back then and for some reason still not being allowed to post or something. This one allowed me to post right away so I stuck with it.


LOL I just can't get over some of my threads...wow..........

 

Ya im here because of the logo in the corner aswell. lol

 

So what keeps coming up? The people here are nice and friendly. Hey, that's one of the best reasons I can think of too!
