I know I've been a bit absent the last few months but my focus on the hobby slipped a bit after i picked up a new 125g tank for a disgustingly good deal. I finally bit the bullet and decided to combine my 55g system and my 46g.

Tonight I broke down my 55g system with sump into a 100g Stock tank and what i figured was a 1 or MAYBE 2 hour job just finished... four hours later. It crazy how much effort goes into a project like this.

Good news is i found about a dozen lost zoa frags burred in calurpa algae that i had written off for dead. Even found a couple of LPS and SPS i can hopefully rescue from my crashing 55g.

I plan to get picture up next week once i have everything up and running!

Also time to give John another call.

nice to see you back Alex

I can relate to the "I will do this and it should only take x amount of time" aspect
it certainly does seem to take twice as long as you budget for, when doing major work on the tank

Welcome back. :) I can also relate to underestimating the amount of time it requires to break down a system and move it lol. I'm glad you found some of your frags though. Hopefully everything turns out good for you.

I'm pretty excited to get the new tank up and going. I think i haven't done a WC in 8 or 9 months lol. I even stopped running my skimmer, which im sure contributed to the calurpa problem.

With the new tank ill have alot of room to place my reactors and set up my dosing equipment so I can start being pro again.
