Wanted to say HELLO to everyone here. This forum was one of my main resources of learning how and what to do for my new reef tank.(started three weeks ago) So I decided I better say hello AND an big THANK YOU to everyone .

I acquired my tank through someone on craigslist. So it was an established reef which is what I wanted. Avoided the cycling and loss of this or that and headaches of different new tank syndromes. Got alot of different things that I had no idea what they were. Alot of geogous live rock with healthy growth. I definitely got a good start of a big variety of different things. (3 or 4 different mushrooms, branching frog spawn, hydnophora, kenya trees, soft palm corals, trumpet coral, cucumber, some hermit crabs, yellow tang, couple of perc clowns, blue damsel, flame angel, bi-color benny, royal gamma, two head feather duster, more that i haven't identified yet)

My reef tank is a 90gal acrylic tru veiw. With a 30 gal sump. A couple of power heads in the bottom back of the main tank for water flow. A crappy finicky protein skimmer that is gona be replaced very soon with a Reef Octopus SUPER SRO 3000INT In-Sump skimmer :D 250w MH and two T5 for light.

I have some pics posted with my thread too if I did it right lol. I need some help identifying a few things still.

Thank you in advance for any tips and identifying.

IMAG0121.jpg to the right in this photo there is some soft forest green with pink tips I do not know what they are. In the middle I dunno if the pic is good enough to see but I believe it is a baby feather duster. and then to the left may be green star coral ??

    Welcome to 3reef!

The last image is a sponge.

The other green things with pink tips look like a type of anemone, not sure on that one though.

The large mushroom no exact ID, sorry.

    :)

Would like to see some other images of the pink tip guys when you get around to it.

    Welcome to 3reef!

The anemone look like a type of Majano Anemone. If not Majano than possibly another type of invasive anemone. There seems to be quite a few of them in the pics.

The first looks to be a hairy mushroom or some of them. And I agree the last looks like a sponge the middle two I am not so sure of.
