I found a 100% way that works to kill aptasia! I have heard of the inject with lemon juice and squirt them with boiling water ideas. I have actually tried the boiling water trick, DON'T DO IT! They came back 10 fold! Lemon juice I haven't tried either but the way that I did it and highly suggest is smother them in super or crazy glue. I have only tried this on small to medium sized aptasia and don't know how it would do with large. You would probably have to use a whole lot for a large one lol so probably not the best idea for bigger ones, but for smaller ones, just super glue the suckers! GONE! I did this a couple months ago and not a single one has popped up. They can't spread and they can't move and they are smothered and can't get any oxygen or light and will die. Do this before they get too big! I highly reccomend it! It worked for me and I had a whole bunch of them!

From this last storm, I wasn't able to get to my tank early enough so by the time I arrived the temp was below 71 degrees. The fish and inverts survived, but the 2 aptasia I had growing died. Wouldn't recommend it as a way to kill them off though lol.

Squirting any type of foreign substances in the water makes me cautious. I know many say super glue is fine, but I prefer natural methods when possible, but still whatever works for you! My LFS makes a substances out of kalkwasser which seems to do a good job I've heard.
