I've had a 30 gallon salt water tank for about a month now.... I bought a blue tang today and I've noticed he doesn't stop bothering our shrimp... The shrimp is hiding from him.. Why is that? I also noticed th blue tang isn't so blue towards the bottom... It kinda looks like he lost his color...help me!!

You'll need to eventually trade in that tang or buy a larger tank. It won't take long for it to outgrow 30 gallons.

As far as color is concerned, it might be a South African blue tang which, while a juvenile, will not be as blue on the bottom. More likely though, it could be stressed or might not be getting all of the correct foods. What are you feeding it?

He's more than likely just displaying stress colors. He got chased with a net, thrown into a bag, and then dumped into a brand new tank.

PS....in the future when you get a new fish, turn off the lights for the day after you acclimate it. It reduces their stress.
