I have been using the PSK-100 for my 55 w/ 30 gal sump for a year now. Awesome skimmer that I definitely recommend! As long as the water height is constant, you can literally set it once and forget it. All I do with mine is clean out the skimmate cup weekly.

I don't have much to compare it to, besides some HOB units which are noticeably louder of course. Mine is inside a sump in my stand, and I literally can not tell the difference whether it is on or not when the doors are shut. So I do think it is on the quieter side.

I have a Aqua C Urchin skimmer in my 56. It has a footprint of 6x3" but it's not quiet. It uses jets to make bubbles instead of a needle wheel on the pump. But it works really good.

Yes I have this very skimmer, works Great!

Sometimes the venturi jet clogs- rarely, clean it out- good to go.

I'm using on my 125reef- probably about 150g total, pulls skim great everyday, yet probably leaves some for my coral, etc.
I always have 0 nitrates and Phos on API tests.

It's the identical skimmer, about a year ago, they changed the model #.

My SC150 came with the atman 2500 and a pinwheel impellar

I'm so glad you found this.

About 18months ago, my SC150 new in the box shipped to my door
    was $95- which included shipping!
