    ok i bought this piece of coral from the local pet store it was not in water or anything it was on the shelf and has not been in water in some time i get it and put it in my tank and was looking at it one evening and it has alot of wholes and this thing came out it was about 6in long and was bright orange and blue with bright white like spikes coming off him he was out for a few sec and then went back in the coral but i did not put him in there or anything i have no idea how it got in there. I would get some pic of it but i have not seen it again was wondering if any one knew what i was talking about and as soon as it comes back out i will have some pic

    Pics will be a big help in IDing this thing. If the coral had been out of the water for a long time and was a skeleton then I'm betting whatever you saw was already in your tank and took up residence in the dead coral after you put it in your tank.

    the only think that i have put in my tank is one clown, coral beauty, a CH starfish, a arrow crab, and a 3 striped damsail but im trying to find some batt. for my camara to get some pic of the coral i have not seen the think in like a couple of weeks and i have only seen it one time so i don't know what it is

    That is what it was 100% the first pic on that page but how did it get in there and what does it eat

    I had a little help with the ID. ;)

    If you've added any live rock or corals bristleworm are common hitchhikers.
