    we need more info

how much live rock do you have?
what other fish do you have?
    filtration?

but seeing as the tank is only 120 gallons theirs no reason for you to own a hippo tang they need 180+ gallons.

An atlantic blue tang and a blue hippo are 2 different species. The atlantic blue starts out with a yellow coloration that matures into a solid blue color and is related to tangs such as the achilles, powder blue, white cheek, etc. A Blue hippo is from the pacific I believe, and dark blue with yellow tail and a black artist palette design on the body in both young and mature specimens.

As for will they get along, I dont see why not. They are completely different species with the yellow eye kole being a bristletooth tang that grazes the liverock and the atlantic blue being a distance swimmer from the anacthrus genus (sorry for the pathetic spelling attempt). Two different body types and behaviors so they should mix in a 120gallon provided there is a lot of live rock for them to both feed off of and visual barrier to break line of site from each other. The only issue many might question is a 120gal is a 4 ft tank and many say a tang needs a 6ft tank to be "happy". We do have some tang experts here I will have to try and find the thread that one of them started as a reference to the different species of tangs, much like evolved did with wrasses. Maybe the mods will make it into a sticky

Really depends who you talk to. Obviously the larger the better for multiple reasons and we should not strive for the minimum basic requirments. I have my blue hippo in a 46gallon but udnerstand when he reaches a certain size he will have to go, either by upgrading or trading in at a lfs or club meeting.

No problem good luck with your tank! Do you have any other fish in there besides the yellow eye kole?

They get 12+ inches, 180 gallons minimum.
